Finally started the painting process

Patrick and I finally agreed on a few color choices for the house. I went to Home Depot and bought quarts for testing. The living room is a keeper! Yeah!

One quart covered more than I thought. As you can see, somebody does not care.

It's been quite hot the last couple weeks, but so far the blooms are holding up.

White Cannas started from seed in February, Asiatic Lilies are doing well, and there are an abundance of morning glories blooming each day!

Both Klaus and Schultze had their surgery this Thursday. Klaus acting like nothing even happened and none the worse, Schultze being older is still a little under the weather about it all. It's a good thing I was off for a couple days to keep an eye out for them to let the stitches heal and keep them from pulling at them!

Well not so much everyone, as you can see someone has his own opinion of the new baby.

Schultze still has not forgiven Mark for adding such chaos to the household.

Yet, secretly he enjoys the company of another baby in the family.

Softball Games

Patrick started a great season with a 4-0 start this year. His team is the Austin Force and have a good chance of going to the World Series in Seattle this year. Will keep you posted. Some pictures of the games today.

Leash Training

Klaus now has his first collar and today we got him a leash. He didn't do too bad (ha!)
It is going to take some time with this one. Schultze however behaves well.

Klaus is now 10.5 pounds. That is a weight gain of over 4 pounds in 4 weeks. His doctor was very surprised it was the same puppy!

March 17th

Patrick just got back from Oklahoma and his softball tournament. He had a good time and played hard, but is glad to be home. Patricks team did very well. It will be great to start going to the Sunday games in a couple weeks.

Back in January, I started a variety of seeds for the vegetable garden and flower beds. Some easy, some a little more difficult to germinate. So this weekend I started planting them in pots as they had outgrown the starter pods.

After finishing up, Klaus aparently decided that he would join in......biting all of the tops off the tomato plants, cucumbers, basils, parsley, white cannas, green asters, and many many more!

I went to let Klaus and Schultze in from the backyard and there was Klaus, the all white puppy with a black soiled face staring up at me! Guess I will need to start over.

But I also worked in the front yard and here are some pictures of what has been done so far.

Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. I had inventory and after holiday sales in January to get through.

Patrick is playing softball again...he's happy! I have not been able to make any games so far, but I am looking forward to Sunday morning games when they begin.

Our hands have also been a little full with the newest member of our family.....Klaus.

He is 13 weeks old, pure white miniature schnauzer and a handful. Schultze is a great big brother although a little hestitant the first couple days. I gave him to Patrick for Valentines Day.

Also a lot of our time has been spent in the yard again. We've planted a lilac, white rose, lilies, and a lot more. It will be nice to see everything in bloom.

Patrick will be off to play in a tournament in Oklahoma next weekend, I will stay with the boys this trip. They would be too much for a babysitter!

Our Holiday Party

Patrick and I had a Christmas dessert party for our co-workers on the 9th. Everyone seemed to really enjoy themselves, and of course I baked WAY too many goodies. Four days of baking and round two never made it to the table.......I will know next time to cut way back.

Ready for Turkey Day

This week will be rather hectic getting ready for Thursday........the day after being BLACK FRIDAY at work! Yikes! Patrick will be off on Friday, lucky bum!

Patricks sister is here from Vegas this week. His family is coming for dinner Thursday and two of our good friends from Dallas are coming in as well. I have a lot to prep, but Patrick's mom is coming Wednesday to help me get ready.

Holiday Ready??

The last couple weekends have been VERY productive at the house! We are excited to have some things done we'd been putting off (plus had been too hot to work much outdoors).

We installed the garage door remote, a ceiling fan in a guest room, installed landscape lighting out front, above the kitchen cabinets lighting, hung the rest of the pictures, added a bed to the guest room, cleaned the entire garage and moved all 30+ empty rubbermaid storage bins to the attic, I finished sewing the dining room curtains and hung those up, made a wreath for the front door, planted mums in the front and Patrick has been keeping the lawn mowed and trimmed, and helping with all of it..........I know I am foretting something here! Still a few minor details to finish up, but it feels so much more like home now that Patrick has more of his things unpacked and out around the house...YEAH!

Any of you working retail will know that getting ready for the holidays is very difficult, and with company coming for Thanksgiving dinner and planning a Holiday Party for our co-workers, we are all decorated for the holidays! Schultze was not too excited about all the changes, but we managed to take this picture of him by the tree!

Coming to Dallas

Patrick, Schultze and I are coming to Dallas Thursday 10/18 until Sunday the 21st. It's time we just got away for a bit from the hustle at work and visit with our Dallas friends.

For those who have not seen our house yet, this picture was taken 9/16/07. The heat has taken its toll on many of the plants as there are not shade trees large enough to shelter from the direct sun all day. I can't wait until October to get the new plants in!
